37 civic groups have once again delivered a united message
to the HK Government, this time to respond to the 2013 Policy Address.
Commitment to move forward on nature conservation in line with the Convention
on Biological Diversity is promising, but involving the wider public will
require key institutions to be set up.

Joint letter to the Chief Executive
24 environmental and civic groups sent a joint letter to the
Chief Executive requesting him to include nature conservation in the
forthcoming Policy Address. Specifically the groups encourage the government to
undertake a fully participatory process for developing Hong Kong’s first ever
Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.
